Basecamp Views of the adventure to come!

This 8 day adventure to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro is via the Lomoshu Route, renowned for its breathtaking views of the valleys and wild plains!

DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM - This adventure requires a basic level of fitness and preparation prior to taking part. There will be long days of trekking at increasing altitude. You will be required to provide a doctors certificate or letter to show your health is suitable to take part in the activity. This is a standard requirement to obtain permits.

Day 1 - Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubw

• Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

Day 2 - Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

• Hiking Time 4 hours

Day 3 - Shira 1 camp to Shira 2 camp

• Hiking Time: 4 - 5 hours

Day 4 - Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

• Hiking Time: 6-8 hours

Day 5 - Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

• Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

Day 6 - Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

• Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

Day 7 - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

• Hiking Time: 7-8 hours

Day 8 - Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

• Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

On our last day, we continue the descent to Mweka Gate and collect the summit certificates. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. From the gate, we continue another 20 minutes to Mweka Village. A vehicle will meet us at Mweka Village to drive us back to the hotel.

INCLUSIONS:
